Exciting Changes at Wootton Vale and Shortstown Surgery: Our Practice Welcomes New Partners to Secure the Future of Your Care
We are thrilled to announce some significant changes that will strengthen our team and ensure we can continue to provide exceptional care for our growing community. We are restructuring the practice from a single-handed GP to a partnership model and are delighted to welcome two new GP Partners, Dr. Ghulam Shabir and Dr. Hetul Shah. Additionally, our long-standing Business Manager, Richie Short, is becoming a Business Partner.
This new partnership model is a proactive step to secure the long-term stability of our practice. By sharing the responsibility, we are reducing our dependency on a single individual, which provides a greater level of security for the practice, our patients, and our employees for years to come.
Meet Our New Partners
- Dr. Ghulam Shabir has been a valued member of our team for four years, initially joining us as a locum GP. His dedication to our patients has led him to take on an increased commitment, and he will now be more involved in the management and clinical leadership of the practice.
- Dr. Hetul Shah brings a fresh perspective and new ideas from his five years as a GP Partner in North London. We are excited about the experience he brings to our team.
- Richie Short is a familiar face who has been with the practice since its inception in 2004. As our new Business Partner, he will continue to oversee the smooth administrative and operational running of the practice.
Strengthening Our Leadership Team
Supporting the partners is our strong Senior Leadership Team (SLT), which includes our two dedicated managers: Hayley Allen, our Practice Manager who handles back-office functions like HR and compliance, and Annie Strong, our Operations Manager who ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. This expanded leadership structure ensures we are well-equipped to manage our growth effectively.
Our Commitment to You
We want to reassure everyone that Dr. Lindsay Mackenzie, who founded the Wootton Vale Healthy Living Centre in 2006 and has overseen Shortstown Surgery since 2013, will remain a key part of our team for the foreseeable future. Her dedication has been instrumental to our success, and she will continue to play a vital role in the partnership.
We are confident that this new structure will allow us to better manage our growth and continue to provide the high-quality care you expect and deserve.
