Wootton Vale and Shortstown Surgery have gone live with the eConsult digital triage and online consultation platform!

This system allows you to provide, information about your health, using online forms. The practice can then use this information to better understand your needs, and give you the right care, at the right time, in the right place and with the right clinician.


SystmConnect allows you to make Medical and Admin requests, online, at your convenience, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This means you will be able to get an appointment without holding on the phone at 8 am when our phone lines are extremely busy.


This system is based on a set of forms that ask questions like the ones you would be asked during a face-to-face consultation. They are designed to give the practice staff all the information they need to safely navigate you to the right care. This might be a follow-up call, a video consultation, prescription to collect from a pharmacist, a face-to-face consultation with a GP, nurse or other healthcare professional on our team or, we might send you an email or SMS text message with further information regarding your condition etc.


Every systmconnect request you make, online, is reviewed by a human at the practice, so you know you are getting the care your surgery thinks is right. Clinical requests will be reviewed by our care navigation team, under the supervision of a GP. Admin requests are handled by the admin team, although they will refer to a clinician, if appropriate.
